Diabetes (Diabetes Mellitus) is a long-term disease in which the body cannot control blood sugar (glucose) levels properly. There are two main types: Type 1 (body does not make enough insulin) and Type 2 (body makes insulin but cannot use it well). High blood sugar can damage eyes, kidneys, nerves, and heart if not managed. In homeopathy, medicines are chosen according to each person's symptoms and body type. Homeopathy can help as supportive care to reduce symptoms and improve general health, but it cannot replace insulin or diabetes medicines prescribed by a doctor. Regular blood sugar checking and doctor visits are very important.

(Images above show the difference between a healthy pancreas that produces insulin normally and a diabetic pancreas where insulin production or use is affected, leading to high blood sugar.)
Causes
- The body does not produce enough insulin or cannot use insulin properly.
- Family history (genetic).
- Obesity, lack of exercise, and unhealthy food (too much sugar and fat).
- Stress, infections, or other illnesses.
- In Type 1, the immune system attacks the pancreas.
Symptoms
Common signs of diabetes:
- Feeling very thirsty all the time
- Passing urine very frequently
- Feeling very hungry even after eating
- Losing weight without trying
- Feeling tired and weak
- Blurred vision
- Slow healing of cuts or wounds
- Tingling or numbness in hands and feet
- Itching skin or frequent infections
Homeopathy Medicines with Key Symptoms and Doses
Homeopathic medicines are selected based on the person's full symptoms. The following 10 remedies are commonly used for diabetes. Important guidance: Diabetes needs lifelong care. Never stop allopathic medicines (insulin or tablets) without doctor advice. Homeopathy can be taken as support. Follow a healthy diet (less sugar, more vegetables and fiber), do regular exercise, and check blood sugar regularly. If you have very high or low sugar, severe weakness, or complications (eye/kidney problems), see a doctor immediately. This is educational information only. Consult a qualified doctor (diabetologist) and a registered homeopath for safe, personalized treatment. Early control prevents serious problems.
